How To Use This Data

Wondering how you can use this data?

Firstly, the target CPC cost is an indicator. It's based on a few factors but most importantly, how well your website is converting. If you website has a high conversion rate, you will notice your target CPC is quite low. If your website conversion rate is low, your target CPC goes up.

The target CPC costs you see are indicators of what you should be paying on your PPC ads. You can use these as a guide, or use them to create bids / rules for your ads. This will help you keep your costs low. By calculating this number, we're able to determine how many people we need to get to our website to convert them, and how much it's going to cost to get them there.

A factor you should consider is the quality of traffic - if your traffic quality changes (i.e. you target the wrong people) your target CPC is irrelevant. This tool is based on you already knowing your market and driving the right traffic to your website.

Use this tool to help guide your PPC ads. One of the most common questions I see is "what's a good CPC for my ad?". A lot of people say "anything under $1.50 isn't good" or "that CPC is way too high". The real answer isn't concrete. This is why I created this calculator. The answer to the question is based on YOUR website conversion rate and YOUR ad conversion rate.
